Missing Making Bouquets!

Missing making bouquets? I didn't think I would be saying this after a busy summer of picking and painting each week! That said I'm already looking at seed catalogues! Wonderful sunny day working in the garden digging dahlias, planning for next year, garlic planting.......

Blue Jay because they are all around at the moment, beautiful but irritating! They chase the little birds away and can finish off a suet feeder in no time.

Silence? For the moment

Sometimes when they are quiet you can be delighted, other times you need to see what mischief they are getting into!
I love seeing children happy in quiet creative concentration, knowing how to hold a book and a pencil with confidence.
I have been away from painting for almost a month, feeling rusty. It is a practice.... we have had wonderful visits with family from as far away as Australia and as close as up the island. Wonderful to catch up but very busy!
These quick watercolours are in response to Illustration Friday challenge silence.
