Return to me

Return to me called Ms Quail to Mr Quail as he set off.....
The quail have been busy in the garden, they don't seem to mind the constant rain. I'm undecided on the background? What do you think? I quite like the clean white :) The first stages or this here and here

I think the clean white version is beautiful. Very elegant.

I definitely prefer the white background, too! It's very simple and brings more focus to the quails.

Nice :) I think I'm leaning more towards the white myself.

Wow! Beautiful quails! I like the digitally added brown/blue but I really love the simplicity of the white.

When I saw Deep cove I thought, my brother used to live there!! Of course it may not be the same place!! Beautiful quails! Normally I'm all about color, but the white seems more true to the painting. Thanks for sharing!

Most lovely!

(I like the top one better with the white. The bottom one seems like the background is of a different substance than the rest of the painting, so separates from it for me)

Thanks for the feedback! Most agree with me white it is! The easter lilies are coming in thick how beautiful and ephemeral they are.

Yes, I think the white background. This is so beautiful, elegant is the perfect word to describe it.

I prefer the white background, but then I usually leave my backgrounds white as well! Lovely piece...I just saw some lovely California quail couples this past weekend...so charming!
